About Faculty

                 The department was established in 1963 with undergraduate programme under the headship of Prof. N. H. Vyas, an eminent teacher and researcher. Thereafter post graduate programme, self finance courses were launched. UGC approved the career oriented programmes to the faculty as well as also college has started skill development courses for developing personal skills of students for getting employment opportunities in future. Initially when the Amravati University firstly introduced the computer subject in the commerce syllabus, commerce department was used computer laboratory of computer science department. Later on a separate well equipped computer lab was established for the commerce students.
Research centre in commerce & management was recognised by the Sant Gadge Baba University Amravati, Amravati. NGO’s were started by the students to outreach to community activities.
During this period the ‘Earn while Learn’ scheme was started through the e-commerce career oriented programme in which the students actively participated and the extension of scheme resulted into ‘Entrepreneurship Development Cell’ which was established by the college. Thus, the faculty have made tremendous progress in every aspect of education, academics, and research and extension activities. Currently the faculty is making progress under the coordinator of Prof. Dr. A. M. Raut, with four potent regular faculty members.
